Apple, Airbnb, and Uber are among the leading ecommerce companies in the Generation Hashtag theme, according to the latest Thematic Scorecard from GlobalData.
Generation Hashtag refers to anyone born between 1991 and 2005. The demographic incorporates both younger Millennials and older members of Generation Z.
The three companies gained the highest Thematic score (5 out of 5) for the Generation Hashtag theme in GlobalData’s Thematic Scorecard for the ecommerce sector. A Thematic score of 5 out of 5 indicates that the company’s competitive position in this theme will significantly improve its future performance.
Also identified as dominant players in this theme are Lyft, China’s Tencent and Didi Chuxing, India’s Just Dial, and Germany’s Zalando.
On their tail, with scores of 4 out of 5, are Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Deliveroo, Japan’s Rakuten, Kakaku, Start Today and DeNA, China’s Sina and Baidu, and Ocado.
