AT&T and Vodafone among leading companies in GlobalData’s Internet of Things theme for the telecom operators sector

AT&T, Vodafone and Softbank are the leading companies in the Internet of Things (IoT) theme, according to the latest Thematic Scorecard for the telecom operators sector from GlobalData.

The IoT is defined as the use of connected sensors and actuators to control and monitor the environment, the things that move within it, and the people that act within it.

The three companies gained the highest Thematic score (5 out of 5) for the IoT theme in GlobalData’s Thematic Scorecard for the telecom operators sector. A Thematic score of 5 out of 5 indicates that the company’s competitive position in this theme will significantly improve its future performance.

On their tail, with scores of 4 out of 5, are SK Telecom, Comcast, Korea Telecom, Saudi Telecom, Orange, China Mobile, SingTel, Chunghwa Telecom, Verizon, Sigfox, Vodacom, MTN Group, Ingenu, Telenor, Deutsche Telekom, Thailand’s Advanced Info Service and Malaysia’s Maxis.
