Borregaard ASA (Borregaard) is a chemical company that produces biochemicals and other selected organic chemicals. The company offers a wide range of products that includes lignin-based products such as dispersing agents and binders, for use in contruction, batteries, oilfield chemicals and agriculture and specialty cellulose for use in the production of cellulose acetate, cellulose ethers and other specialty segments cellulose derivatives. It also provides biovanillin, bioethanol, and other fine chemicals and microfibrillar cellulose. Borregaard offers its products to various markets that include construction, agriculture, food and beverages, transportation and pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, paper and packaging, personal care and cosmetics, mineral processing, batteries and water treatment. The company operates manufacturing plants and sales offices throughout Europe, the Americas,Asia and Africa. Borregaard is headquartered in Sarpsborg, Norway.
