Exxaro Resources Ltd (Exxaro) is a diversified mineral resources company. It owns interests in coal, base metals, ferrous, zinc, iron ore, and wind energy markets. It has interests in several coal projects in South Africa including the Mafube, Grootegeluk, Leeuwpan and Matla mines, and Forzando Complex. The company’s other mega power projects include the Belfast mine in the Mpumalanga region and the Thabametsi mine to the West of the Grootegeluk mine. Exxaro also operates wind farms through joint venture partnerships. The company serves various industries including public utilities, merchants, steel, mining, manufacturing, food and beverage, cement, chemicals and others. Exxaro is headquartered in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa.
