Redeia Corporacion SA (REC) carries out transmission, generation, distribution and operation of the transmission network for the Spanish electricity system. The company operates the regulated activities through its principal subsidiary, Red Electrica de Espana, S.A. (REE), a transmission system operator and other subsidiaries. REC is involved in electricity transmission activities outside Spain and provides telecommunications services. The company also undertakes the construction of international interconnections, energy storage and financing and risk reinsurance. It serves the third parties in Spain, Peru, Chile and among others. REC is headquartered in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain.
