Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District (SRP), a political subdivision of Arizona, is a community-based not-for-profit integrated power utility. It generates, purchases, transmits and distributes electricity in the region. The company produces energy using coal, nuclear, natural gas, hydro, renewable, and energy efficiency programs. Under the contracts with the Salt River Valley Water Users’ Association, the company operates a federal reclamation project, the Salt River Project. SRP serves residential, commercial, industrial, and agriculture customers in parts of Maricopa, Gila and Pinal counties. It is a subsidiary of Salt River Project. SRP is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, the US.
