Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp (THSRC) conducts its own research and development activities, to provide customers with the latest technologies and innovations, and remain competitive in the market. The company’s R&D projects include Intelligent Passenger Information System, Digitalization of TETRA Main Radio System (MSO) and Upgraded Network IP Functions, Data Transmission and Fiber Optic Cable System Expansion Project, Improvement, innovation, and R&D of PLC switch controls, Digital THSRC Cloud Service Platform and New Generation Network Design and Implementation Project. In FY2022, it developed R&D activities such as Artificial Intelligence Drones for inspection, CCTV facility, IT advancement, Signaling and Communication Systems and its own ticket booking mobile application T Express app. The company allocated a budget of TWD541.0 million for R&D.
