Payment Processing Company: Supporting a Major Industry Publication via Consumer Survey

This project integrated the client’s requirements into GlobalData’s existing annual consumer survey (2018-2020), providing insights into the breakdown of e-commerce and in-store spending by payment tool and goods/services purchased in 44 markets in 2020.

Our Solution

Our consumer survey includes questions that ask respondents about the types of purchases they make online and offline, the amount they spend on these purchases (on average) and what payment tools they prefer to use for those purchases, allowing us to segment the online and offline payments markets by payment tool and by category of goods/services purchased. We supplement this information with in-depth questions of attitudes towards online and offline payments and reasons for using specific payment tools.

Outcome

As part of this project, we worked closely with the client to ensure that our questionnaire was aligned to their requirements, and we provided extended support on all project deliverables to answer all follow-up questions and clarify methodology post-data delivery.
