The number of active job postings in the Construction sector of Mexico decreased by 8.58% MoM, and decreased by 5.29% since October 2023, reaching 501 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 160 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 13.98% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 207 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.17% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 29.52% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 19.14%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.01%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.8% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 6.84%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 221, number of jobs closed stood at 235 and number of active jobs stood at 539.
