The number of active ESG related job postings in the Global Financial Services Sector decreased by 9.21% MoM, and decreased by 19.15% since October 2023, reaching 51,258 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 20,777 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 0.21% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 25,977 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 6.24% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 19.11% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 4.17%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 6.82%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.84% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 1.37%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 23,294, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 26,143 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 58,636.
