The number of active job postings in the Financial Services sector of United Kingdom decreased by 8.63% MoM, and decreased by 16% since October 2023, reaching 12,221 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 4,313 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 2.88% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 5,468 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 9.21% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 30.63% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 4.36%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.47%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.64% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 1.47%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 5,109, number of jobs closed stood at 5,565 and number of active jobs stood at 13,521.
