Rolex

Rolex, the Swiss manufacturer of wristwatches and accessories, has 14 active deals in golf as per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database. Rolex's most recent sponsorship deal was announced in January 2022, worth $0.85 million. As per the deal, they agreed to extend their sponsorship with Francesco Molinari for 2022.

In 2013, Rolex signed its largest sponsorship deal with European Tour, the deal was valued at $192.95 million. The duration of the sponsorship remained for a period of ten years. As per the agreement, Rolex is to remain the official timekeeper of the PGA European Tour including the Ryder Cup. The deal is an extension of an existing sponsorship deal.

Acushnet Company

Acushnet Company, manufactures, designs, and develops golf products and has 13 active deals in golf as per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database. Acushnet’s most recent sponsorship deal was a renewal of an existing deal, which was announced in January 2022 for Padraig Harrington and was valued at $1.5 million. The one-year deal gave Acushnet to be the official supplier for 2022.

As per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database, Acushnet’s largest sponsorship stood at $4.88 million for Adam Scott. The deal is an extension of an existing sponsorship deal.

Nike

Nike, the sporting goods company, has 10 active sponsorship deals currently under its portfolio in golf as per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database.

As per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database,  Nike in its most recent deal announced the extension of its existing sponsorship deal in January 2022, with Golfer Tommy Fleetwood in a deal worth $1.73 million for a duration of one year. As per the deal, Nike will be the official kit supplier to the golfer.

As per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database, Nike signed a sponsorship deal with Northern Irish golfer Rory Mcllroy for a duration of ten years in 2017. The deal was valued at $100 million and it made Nike as official kit supplier to golfer Mcllroy. The deal is a renewal of an existing deal.

Callaway

Callaway, the golf equipment manufacturer, has nine active sponsorship deals currently under its portfolio in golf as per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database.

As per GlobalData’s Sponsorship database, Callaway’s in its most recent deal which was announced in January 2022, renewed its sponsorship with golfer Branden Grace which was valued at $1.75 million for a duration of one year.

In 2017, Callaway signed a sponsorship deal with American golfer Phil Mickelson, worth $40 million for a duration of five years. As per the agreement, Mickelson was to sport the Callaway brand logo on his shirt sleeve, side of his visor, and golf bag. Later, in February 2022, Callaway terminated the sponsorship with Phil Mickelson, after the controversial comments were made about PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia by Phil Mickelson.
