Cisco, the IT and networking company, generated quarterly revenue of $13.1 billion in Q4 2022, an increase of 2% in revenue as compared to Q3 2022, which had $12.83 million in revenues. Cisco generates the majority of its revenues from the sale of IT-related hardware and software solutions.
Cisco operates globally and segregates its revenues on a geographic basis into these three segments: the Americas; EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and APJC (Asia Pacific, Japan, and China).
In terms of revenue contribution, the Americas led all other regions for Q4 2022 ($7,470 million), followed by EMEA ($3,577 million) and APJC ($2,055 million). Cisco’s 57% of the revenues are generated from the Americas, followed by EMEA (27.3%) and APJC with a 15.7% revenue contribution. The vast majority of Cisco’s clientele is from the public, commercial, and service sectors.
In Q4 2022, the Products segment had revenue of $9,688 million, this product revenue was further segmented geographically into Americas, EMEA, and APJC with $5,397 million, $2,780 million, and $1,511 million in revenue respectively. The Services segment had revenue of $3,415 million, this services revenue was further segmented geographically into Americas, EMEA, and APJC with $2,073 million, $798 million, and $544 million in revenue respectively
