Of the 155 deals, the deal secured between Kubota Corp and Escorts Kubota Ltd, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the Asia-Pacific Construction sector, which was valued at $1,264.3 million and was completed on February 2, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Startree Investments Pte Ltd and Sembcorp Marine Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between AVIC Capital Industry Investment Co Ltd; AviChina Industry & Technology Co Ltd and AVIC Jonhon Optronic Technology Co Ltd. The Startree Investments Pte Ltd-Sembcorp Marine Ltd deal and the AVIC Capital Industry Investment Co Ltd; AviChina Industry & Technology Co Ltd-AVIC Jonhon Optronic Technology Co Ltd deal were valued at $1,114.9 million and $524.2 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Guangzhou Pearl River Industrial Development Co Ltd-Jiangsu Transportation Research Institute Co Ltd valued at $364.5 million, whereas the deal between EQT Partners AB; GIC Pte Ltd; MBK Partners Ltd; Meritz Securities Co Ltd-ADT Caps Co Ltd valued at $336.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $3,603.9 million and accounted for nearly 26.44% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 22.00% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 0.18% of the total deal size on a global scale.
