The third largest number of patents were published by China State Construction Engineering Corp Ltd with 4,408 related patents, of which 32.3% was contributed by its subsidiary China Construction Eight Engineering Division Corp Ltd Southwest Branch. The fourth largest number of patents were published by Hitachi Ltd with 3,174 related patents, of which 42.5% was contributed by its subsidiary Hitachi Construction Machinery Co Ltd. The fifth largest number of patents were published by Mitsubishi Electric Corp with 2,745 related patents.
The top five patent holders, i.e., State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Midea Holding Co., Ltd., China State Construction Engineering Corp Ltd, Hitachi Ltd, and Mitsubishi Electric Corp, together held 21,496 patents during the period.
