In the LTM period, April 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $41,009.9 million, resulting in an average deal value of $1,864.1 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of June 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 25 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $144.5 million during that month.
Of the 217 deals, the deal secured between Schemaquarantatre SPA and Atlantia SpA, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Europe Construction sector, which was valued at $39,545.7 million and was completed on April 14, 2022. The second-largest deal was between 3G Capital Inc and Hunter Douglas NV, while the third-largest deal was between Brookfield Business Partners LP and Modulaire Group. The 3G Capital Inc-Hunter Douglas NV deal and the Brookfield Business Partners LP-Modulaire Group deal were valued at $7,100.0 million and $5,000.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Brookfield Asset Management Inc-alstria office REIT-AG valued at $4,056.8 million, whereas the deal between Macquarie Infrastructure Partners V-HEDNO S.A. valued at $2,444.9 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $58,147.3 million and accounted for nearly 71.16% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 36.50% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 6.60% of the total deal size on a global scale.
