In the LTM period, September 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $9,756.1 million, resulting in an average deal value of $42.4 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of August 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 250 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $23.6 million during that month.
Of the 1,633 deals, the deal secured between CDP Industria SpA; Eni SpA and Saipem SpA, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the Global Construction sector, which was valued at $1,467.4 million and was completed on June 22, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Kubota Corp and Escorts Kubota Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Startree Investments Pte Ltd and Sembcorp Marine Ltd. The Kubota Corp-Escorts Kubota Ltd deal and the Startree Investments Pte Ltd-Sembcorp Marine Ltd deal were valued at $1,264.3 million and $1,114.9 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Mitsui & Co Ltd-Mainstream Renewable Power Ltd valued at $633.0 million, whereas the deal between AVIC Capital Industry Investment Co Ltd; AviChina Industry & Technology Co Ltd-AVIC Jonhon Optronic Technology Co Ltd valued at $524.2 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $5,003.8 million and accounted for nearly 8.49% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 45.41% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $28,142.2 million, which accounted for 83.22% of the total deal size on a global scale.
