Of the 71 deals, the deal secured between Adani Group and Ambuja Cements Ltd, was the largest M&A deal in the India Construction sector, which was valued at $6,228.6 million and was completed on May 15, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Adani Group and Ambuja Cements Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Adani Group and ACC Ltd. The Adani Group-Ambuja Cements Ltd deal and the Adani Group-ACC Ltd deal were valued at $2,566.5 million and $1,453.7 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between IndInfravit Trust-Gorakhpur Infrastructure Co Ltd; Kosi Bridge Infrastructure Company Limited; Mumbai Nasik Expressway Limited; Rayalseema Expressway Private Limited; Simhapuri Expressway Ltd valued at $1,200.0 million, whereas the deal between Swan Constructions Private Limited-Simplex Infrastructures Ltd valued at $1,125.5 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $12,574.2 million and accounted for nearly 81.69% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
