The number of active ESG related job postings driven by ESG in the Construction sector of the Middle East and Africa region decreased by 13.85% MoM, and decreased by 0.92% since October 2023, reaching 1,399 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 563 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 21.6% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 788 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 48.12% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 11.76% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 69.46%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 4.08%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 0.31% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 19.22%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 657, the average number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 617 and the average number of active ESG related jobs stood at 1,532.
