In the LTM period, February 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $3,334.4 million, resulting in an average deal value of $47.6 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of March 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 78 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $38.7 million during that month.
Of the 797 deals, the deal secured between Qatar Investment Authority and Bodhi Tree, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific Financial Services sector, which was valued at $1,500.0 million and was completed on February 10, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Brookfield Asset Management Inc and La Trobe Financial Services Pty Limited, while the third-largest deal was between China Cinda Asset Management Co Ltd and Chongqing Ant Consumer Finance Ltd. The Brookfield Asset Management Inc-La Trobe Financial Services Pty Limited deal and the China Cinda Asset Management Co Ltd-Chongqing Ant Consumer Finance Ltd deal were valued at $1,100.0 million and $936.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Dunamu Inc; Eugene Private Equity; KTB Asset Management Co., Ltd-Woori Financial Group Inc valued at $830.0 million, whereas the deal between GIC Pte Ltd; Insight Venture Management LLC; Smash Capital-Coda Payments Pte. Ltd. valued at $690.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $5,056.0 million and accounted for nearly 16.52% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 17.01% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 1.80% of the total deal size on a global scale.
