Global: Five largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deals by value in the Financial Services sector driven by Future of Work (LTM June 2022)

In the LTM period, December 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $41.0 million, resulting in an average deal value of $1,355.9 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of September 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 9 deals being made, with average deal value of $248.6 million during that month.

The fourth-largest deal was between Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP; Viking Global Investors LP-AlphaSense, Inc. valued at $225.0 million, whereas the deal between AllianceBernstein LP; Bank of America Corp; Barclays Ventures; Citigroup Inc; Cowen Inc; Goldman Sachs Asset Management Private Equity; Morgan Stanley; Viking Global Investors LP; Wells Fargo Strategic Capital Inc-AlphaSense, Inc. valued at $180.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.

  • Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $5,034.69 million and accounted for nearly 67.07% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 74.94% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $5,625.3 million, which accounted for 61.36% of the total deal size on a global scale.
