On the other hand, the month of November 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 4 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $65.7 million during that month.
Of the 27 deals, the deal secured between HDFC Life Insurance Co Ltd and Exide Life Insurance Company Ltd, was the largest M&A deal in the India Healthcare sector, which was valued at $915.5 million and was completed on September 3, 2021. The second-largest deal was between 91streets Media Technologies Pvt Ltd and Thyrocare Technologies Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Tata Digital Limited and Tata 1mg Healthcare Solutions Pvt Ltd. The 91streets Media Technologies Pvt Ltd-Thyrocare Technologies Ltd deal and the Tata Digital Limited-Tata 1mg Healthcare Solutions Pvt Ltd deal were valued at $612.8 million and $270.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between HDFC Bank Ltd-HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited valued at $257.2 million, whereas the deal between Generali Participations Netherlands N.V.-Future Generali India Insurance Company Ltd valued at $166.1 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,221.5 million and accounted for nearly 3.61% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
