A total of 252 Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) deals (pending and completed) were announced in the Healthcare of United States, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $209,862.2 million. In the LTM period, December 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $54,460.4 million, resulting in an average deal value of $2,866.3 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of June 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 31 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $704.5 million during that month.

The fourth-largest deal was between Merck & Co Inc-Acceleron Pharma Inc valued at $11,500.0 million, whereas the deal between Danaher Corp-Aldevron LLC valued at $9,600.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $75,410.5 million and accounted for nearly 35.93% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
