Snapchat had 332 million Daily Active Users (DAU) in Q1 2022, which is further geographically divided by Snapchat into three segments: North America, Europe, and the Rest of the World. The number of DAU for Snapchat has increased year-over-year and sequentially.

In Q1 2022, DAU in North America increased by 1% quarter-over-quarter to reach 98 million users, in Europe DAU increased 2.4% quarter-over-quarter to reach 84 million users and the Rest of the World witnessed a 7.1% quarter-over-quarter increase in DAU to reach 150 million users. Since Q4 2020, Snapchat has continuously expanded its user base outside North America and Europe.

A Daily Active User (DAU) is defined as a registered Snapchat user who opens the Snapchat application at least once during a defined 24-hour period. For a particular quarter, DAU is calculated using average DAUs i.e., by adding the number of DAUs on each day of that quarter and dividing that sum by the number of days in that quarter.

North America includes Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America.

Europe also includes the countries Russia and Turkey.
