The fifth largest number of Digital Payments related patents were published by Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd with 779 patents, of which 46.7% was contributed by its subsidiary Ping An Technology Shenzhen Co Ltd.
The top five patent holders, i.e., SoftBank Group Corp, China Investment Corp, Tencent Holdings Ltd, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd, and Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd, together held 7,073 Digital Payments patents during the period.
