The fourth largest number of patents were published by Johnson & Johnson with 544 patents, of which 48.7% was contributed by its subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceutica NV. The fifth largest number of patents were published by Bayer AG with 478 patents, of which 20.5% was contributed by its subsidiary Bayer NV.
The top five patent holders, i.e., Sanofi, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, Pfizer Inc, Johnson & Johnson, and Bayer AG, together held 2,905 patents during the period.
