Of the 31 deals, the deal secured between Blackstone Inc and Interplex Holdings Ltd., was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific Mining sector, which was valued at $1,600.0 million and was completed on January 19, 2022. The second-largest deal was between ACE Equity Partners; Cerritos Holdings Co; Kamur Partners LLC and Australian Strategic Materials (Holdings) Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Apollo Global Management Inc; Synergy Metals Investments Holding Ltd and JSW Cement Limited. The ACE Equity Partners; Cerritos Holdings Co; Kamur Partners LLC-Australian Strategic Materials (Holdings) Ltd deal and the Apollo Global Management Inc; Synergy Metals Investments Holding Ltd-JSW Cement Limited deal were valued at $250.0 million and $201.2 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Amalgam Steel Private Limited; Nithia Capital Resources Advisors LLP-Crest Steel and Power Pvt Ltd valued at $80.0 million, whereas the deal between Jinshi Investment Co., Ltd-Chaohu Yunhai Magnesium Industry Co Ltd valued at $77.1 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,208.3 million and accounted for nearly 75.87% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 32.43% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 61.32% of the total deal size on a global scale.
