Of the 207 deals, the deal secured between Startree Investments Pte Ltd and Sembcorp Marine Ltd, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the Asia-Pacific Oil & Gas sector, which was valued at $1,114.9 million and was completed on June 24, 2021. The second-largest deal was between China Huarong Asset Management Co Ltd; China Life Insurance Company; ICBC Financial Asset Investment Co., Limited and CNOOC Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Primavera Capital Group and Envision Energy Ltd. The China Huarong Asset Management Co Ltd; China Life Insurance Company; ICBC Financial Asset Investment Co., Limited-CNOOC Ltd deal and the Primavera Capital Group-Envision Energy Ltd deal were valued at $624.9 million and $600.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand-RATCH Group PCL valued at $334.6 million, whereas the deal between CICC Financial Trading Limited; HHLR Fund; YHG Investment, LP-Xinyi Energy Holdings Ltd valued at $99.6 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,774.0 million and accounted for nearly 13.55% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 29.07% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 0.44% of the total deal size on a global scale.
