The number of active job postings in the Oil and Gas sector of Brazil decreased by 7.45% MoM, and increased by 31.85% since October 2023, reaching 621 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 135 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 22.86% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 185 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 8.19% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 18.18% and the number of jobs closed increased by 28.47%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 6.47%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 9.65% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 8.71%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 212, number of jobs closed stood at 169 and number of active jobs stood at 607.
