In the LTM period, March 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $4,656.4 million, resulting in an average deal value of $291.0 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of June 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 21 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $71.2 million during that month.
Of the 166 deals, the deal secured between CDP Industria SpA; Eni SpA and Saipem SpA, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the Europe Oil & Gas sector, which was valued at $1,467.4 million and was completed on June 22, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Mitsui & Co Ltd and Mainstream Renewable Power Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd. The Mitsui & Co Ltd-Mainstream Renewable Power Ltd deal and the Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada-The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd deal were valued at $633.0 million and $366.9 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between R Green Invest SAS-NW Groupe valued at $316.6 million, whereas the deal between HAL Holding N.V.-Technip Energies NV valued at $231.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $3,014.9 million and accounted for nearly 20.30% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 21.09% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 0.74% of the total deal size on a global scale.
