Canada: Job Trends in the Paper and Packaging Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

  • The number of active job postings in the Paper and Packaging sector of Canada decreased by 5.16% MoM, and decreased by 4.89% since October 2023, reaching 661 active job postings in January 2024.

  • A total of 201 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 1.47% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 237 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 94.26% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 9.05% and the number of jobs closed increased by 52.9%

Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 196, number of jobs closed stood at 188 and number of active jobs stood at 667.
