The number of active ESG related job postings in the Global Power Sector decreased by 2.9% MoM, and decreased by 13.15% since October 2023, reaching 14,450 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 5,763 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 24.26% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 6,194 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 14.13% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 10.69% and the number of ESG related jobs closed decreased by 16%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 3.7%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.59% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 5.65%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 5,791, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 6,568 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 15,409.
