Of the 306 deals, the deal secured between The Infrastructure Investments Fund and South Jersey Industries Inc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the North America Retail & Wholesale sector, which was valued at $8,100.0 million and was completed on February 24, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Thoma Bravo LP and Stamps.com Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC and Cornerstone Building Brands Inc. The Thoma Bravo LP-Stamps.com Inc deal and the Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC-Cornerstone Building Brands Inc deal were valued at $6,600.0 million and $4,289.7 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Fidelity Management & Research Company; MSD Capital LP; Qatar Holdings LLC-Fanatics Inc valued at $1,500.0 million, whereas the deal between Blackstone Inc-Spanx Inc valued at $1,200.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $21,689.7 million and accounted for nearly 64.70% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The North America region accounted for 29.38% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 12.85% of the total deal size on a global scale.
