On the other hand, the month of November 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 13 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $143.6 million during that month.
Of the 100 deals, the deal secured between Apollo Global Management Inc; VICI Properties Inc and The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Global Lodging sector, which was valued at $6,250.0 million and was completed on February 23, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Cascade Investment LLC and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, while the third-largest deal was between APG Asset Management NV; GIC Pte Ltd; KRC Capital and CitizenM Operations Holding BV. The Cascade Investment LLC-Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts deal and the APG Asset Management NV; GIC Pte Ltd; KRC Capital-CitizenM Operations Holding BV deal were valued at $2,210.0 million and $1,000.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Bain Capital LP; MBK Partners Ltd-Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment - US valued at $575.0 million, whereas the deal between Special Opportunities 6 Fund (Inactive)-Raag Hotels Limited valued at $550.8 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $10,585.8 million and accounted for nearly 46.11% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 77.50% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $17,791.5 million, which accounted for 48.48% of the total deal size on a global scale.
