The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of the Asia-Pacific region decreased by 11.74% MoM, and decreased by 15.7% since October 2023, reaching 138,176 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 38,263 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 15.14% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 56,651 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 33.52% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 11.78% and the number of jobs closed increased by 51.82%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 4.09%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.53% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 14.93%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 42,577, number of jobs closed stood at 47,494 and number of active jobs stood at 153,137.
