On the other hand, the month of June 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 24 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $50.2 million during that month.
Of the 197 deals, the deal secured between TPG Capital LP; Vista Equity Partners Management LLC and Blue Prism Group Plc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Europe Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by Big Data, which was valued at $1,500.0 million and was completed on September 27, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Arena Holdings; Durable Capital Partners LP; Franklin Templeton Investments Corp; Splunk Ventures; T Rowe Price Associates Inc and Celonis GmbH, while the third-largest deal was between Starwood Capital Group Management LLC and Echelon Data Centres Ltd. The Arena Holdings; Durable Capital Partners LP; Franklin Templeton Investments Corp; Splunk Ventures; T Rowe Price Associates Inc-Celonis GmbH deal and the Starwood Capital Group Management LLC-Echelon Data Centres Ltd deal were valued at $1,000.0 million and $962.9 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Silver Lake Partners, L.P.-Software AG valued at $389.0 million, whereas the deal between Digital 9 Infrastructure Plc-Verne Global LLC valued at $320.1 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $4,172.0 million and accounted for nearly 43.05% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 7.37% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 18.24% of the total deal size on a global scale.
