The second-largest deal was between Altice UK Sarl and BT Group Plc, while the third-largest deal was between Deutsche Telekom AG and SoftBank Group Corp; T-Mobile US Inc. The Altice UK Sarl-BT Group Plc deal and the Deutsche Telekom AG-SoftBank Group Corp; T-Mobile US Inc deal were valued at $3,111.6 million and $2,400.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Sinch AB-Message4U Pty Limited valued at $1,300.0 million, whereas the deal between PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk-PT. Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk valued at $1,171.1 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $12,382.67 million and accounted for nearly 58.34% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, Europe accounted for 40.74% of the total M&A deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $8,797.3 million, which accounted for 26.47% of the total deal size on a global scale.
