Of the 117 deals, the deal secured between Global Infrastructure Partners LLC; KKR Financial Holdings LLC and CyrusOne Inc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Global Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by Connectivity, which was valued at $15,000.0 million and was completed on November 15, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Alberta Investment Management Corp; Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and BAI Communications Pty Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Allianz Capital Partners of America LLC; Allianz European Infrastructure Fund and ATC Europe B.V.. The Alberta Investment Management Corp; Canada Pension Plan Investment Board-BAI Communications Pty Ltd deal and the Allianz Capital Partners of America LLC; Allianz European Infrastructure Fund-ATC Europe B.V. deal were valued at $1,951.3 million and $642.6 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Ardian SA-Mila ehf valued at $603.7 million, whereas the deal between Abu Dhabi Investment Authority-EdgePoint Infrastructure valued at $500.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $18,697.59 million and accounted for nearly 77.76% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 73.15% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $17,548.2 million, which accounted for 52.63% of the total deal size on a global scale.
