The number of active job postings in the Global Technology and Communications Sector decreased by 8.93% MoM, and decreased by 15.17% since October 2023, reaching 462,465 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 128,986 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 7.74% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 174,339 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.99% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 24.43% and the number of jobs closed increased by 10.05%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.91%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.34% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 3.24%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 151,177, number of jobs closed stood at 168,787 and number of active jobs stood at 512,383.
