The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Ireland decreased by 2.35% MoM, and increased by 6.05% since October 2023, reaching 3,701 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,151 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 0.43% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,240 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.25% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 3.79% and the number of jobs closed increased by 21.93%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 1.25%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 1.98% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 6.83%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,221, number of jobs closed stood at 1,145 and number of active jobs stood at 3,727.
