Lithuania: Job Trends in the Technology and Communications Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Lithuania decreased by 12.18% MoM, and decreased by 10.39% since October 2023, reaching 440 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 85 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 35.11% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 146 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 18.89% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 55.73% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 17.51%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 23.79%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.59% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 6.22%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 144, number of jobs closed stood at 153 and number of active jobs stood at 495.
