Ukraine: Job Trends in the Technology and Communications Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Ukraine decreased by 5.76% MoM, and decreased by 20.21% since October 2023, reaching 458 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 64 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 47.54% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 92 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 54.46% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 64.25% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 40.26%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 29.02%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.25% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 15.78%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 135, number of jobs closed stood at 157 and number of active jobs stood at 521.
