Vietnam: Job Trends in the Technology and Communications Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Vietnam decreased by 6.85% MoM, and decreased by 15.94% since October 2023, reaching 1,007 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 236 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 38.54% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 310 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 31.26% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 46.97% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 32.02%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 19.06%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.62% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 12.07%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 371, number of jobs closed stood at 421 and number of active jobs stood at 1,108.
