Morocco: Job Trends in the Technology and Communications Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Morocco decreased by 8.73% MoM, and decreased by 31.04% since October 2023, reaching 502 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 103 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 51.18% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 151 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 14.2% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 30.87% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 11.18%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.58%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 11.65% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 3.87%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 153, number of jobs closed stood at 215 and number of active jobs stood at 573.
