The second largest number of patents were held by China State Construction Engineering Corp Ltd with 40 Building Information Modelling (BIM) patents, of which 50.0% was contributed by China Construction Eight Engineering Division Corp Ltd Southwest Branch. The third largest number of patents were held by China Railway Construction Corp Ltd with 15 Building Information Modelling (BIM) patents, of which 33.3% was contributed by China Railway Siyuan Survey And Design Group Co Ltd. The fourth largest number of patents were held by China Railway Group Ltd with 12 Building Information Modelling (BIM) patents, of which 25.0% was contributed by China Railway No.2 Group. The fifth largest number of patents were held by State Grid Corporation of China with 11 Building Information Modelling (BIM) patents.
The top five patents holders, i.e., State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China State Construction Engineering Corp Ltd, China Railway Construction Corp Ltd, China Railway Group Ltd, and State Grid Corporation of China, together held 132 Building Information Modelling (BIM) patents during the period.
