In the LTM period, June 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $4,609.7 million, resulting in an average deal value of $1,152.4 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of August 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 9 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $255.4 million during that month.
Of the 36 deals, the deal secured between China Merchants Port Group Co Ltd and Zhejiang Seaport Investment Operation Group Co., Ltd, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the Asia-Pacific Transportation, Infrastructure and Logistics sector, which was valued at $1,718.7 million and was completed on August 13, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Guangzhou Pearl River Industrial Development Co Ltd and Jiangsu Transportation Research Institute Co Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between FedEx Corp and Delhivery Ltd. The Guangzhou Pearl River Industrial Development Co Ltd-Jiangsu Transportation Research Institute Co Ltd deal and the FedEx Corp-Delhivery Ltd deal were valued at $364.5 million and $100.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between AK Holdings, Inc-JEJU AIR Co., Ltd. valued at $77.3 million, whereas the deal between Rare Enterprises-Akasa Air valued at $46.6 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,307.2 million and accounted for nearly 17.68% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 66.28% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 4.92% of the total deal size on a global scale.
