  • A total of 123 Private Equity/Venture Financing deals (pending and completed) were announced in the Transportation, Infrastructure and Logistics of the North America region, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $25,174.6 million. In the LTM period, May 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $10,840.8 million, resulting in an average deal value of $1,084.1 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of February 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 12 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $214.6 million during that month.

The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board-Ports America Inc deal and the BentallGreenOak (U.S.) GP LLC; CenterSquare Investment Management, Inc.; Cohen & Steers Inc; D1 Capital LP; New York State Teachers' Retirement System; OP Trust; Oxford Properties Group; QuadReal Property Group; Rabobank Canada; StepStone Group LP; The Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)-Lineage Logistics Holdings LLC deal were valued at $6,000.0 million and $1,700.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between SoftBank Vision Fund LP-GM Cruise LLC valued at $1,350.0 million, whereas the deal between The Jordan Company LP-Echo Global Logistics Inc valued at $1,300.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.

  • Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $20,864.4 million and accounted for nearly 82.88% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
