The number of active job postings in the Transport and Logistics sector of United States decreased by 7.7% MoM, and decreased by 17.18% since October 2023, reaching 61,504 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 13,785 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 4.32% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 18,919 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 6.63% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 48.81% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 25.51%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 20.01%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.09% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 9.35%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 19,092, number of jobs closed stood at 21,897 and number of active jobs stood at 68,093.
