The number of active job postings in the Travel & Tourism (Passenger Transportation) sector of United Kingdom decreased by 7.01% MoM, and decreased by 22.9% since October 2023, reaching 1,963 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 660 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 4.43% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 808 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 13.77% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 23.88% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 3%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.69%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.3% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 1.01%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 732, number of jobs closed stood at 869 and number of active jobs stood at 2,259.
