GlobalData’s graduate program is designed to further strengthen our highly skilled workforce by recruiting talented and driven individuals from top universities around the world. Graduates who join our program are guided through a defined career path that is centered around a career development framework designed to enhance their skills and expertise.

Investments in training programs, mentoring networks and the Group’s performance management process ensure graduates receive the vital support needed to develop their careers. GlobalData is also committed to supporting graduates in attaining professional qualifications where relevant.

Joining the Group as an associate analyst, graduates are typically tasked with a range of responsibilities. This can include undertaking primary and secondary market research, validating results and supporting the delivery of data analytics and insights to clients.

At GlobalData, all graduates are encouraged to take control of their career and can do so by taking advantage of the plethora of opportunities on offer in the Group, including the:

Fifteen graduates joined GlobalData in 2016 and these individuals are now working across the Consumer, Healthcare and Technology industries. The program was such a success that the Group is hoping to significantly increase the number of graduates in 2017.

Eligibility requirements
  • A minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline from a top tier university
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of diverse and disparate data to distil out key insights
  • A clear aptitude for, or experience in, numerical analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate in concise and compelling manner
  • Thoroughness and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently to deliver projects to challenging deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Recruitment process
GlobalData’s graduate program is highly competitive; the latest program in 2016 received over 350 applications. The recruitment process (shown below) is thus necessarily thorough to ensure that only the most talented and driven graduates join the program.
  • Prospective candidates are first invited to submit CVs and cover letters on GlobalData’s Careers web page 
  • Screening of applications to progress only those candidates who demonstrate the necessary skills & traits
  • An online 1,000 word written test on a choice of up to five topics
  • Assessment day, including a ‘GMAT’ style verbal and numerical reasoning test, a short presentation on the same topic as the written tests and a group-based activity
  • One-to-one interviews with hiring managers
  • Offer circulation and acceptance
